Greece announces solution plan for Israel-Palestine conflict

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis stated that Athens has proposed a 5-point plan to end the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Speaking to the Greek state broadcaster ERT following the European Union's meeting with the Gulf Cooperation Council today, Gerapetritis noted that today's meeting took place in the shadow of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Gerapetritis emphasized that he held one-on-one meetings with representatives of Gulf countries and also spoke by phone with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Jordan.

AN INTERNATIONAL FORUM MUST BE ESTABLISHED

Stating that the primary goal is to end hostile actions, Gerapetritis pointed out that he proposed Athens' 5-point plan to the country representatives he met with today to break the cycle of violence and lower tensions.

Gerapetritis explained the plan as: "ending hostile actions primarily against civilians, the immediate release of all hostages, the opening of a humanitarian corridor to ensure access to critical services such as healthcare, the condemnation of attacks by the EU and Gulf countries, and the establishment of an international forum to address the root cause of the problem."
