Hamas announces it has struck an Israeli position
Hamas' military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, stated that it targeted an Israeli espionage post in the central regions of the Gaza Strip.
In a written statement issued by Hamas' Qassam Brigades, it was stated, "We targeted a new Israeli surveillance and espionage center located east of the Juhr ad-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip with mortar shells."

No statement has been issued by Israeli authorities regarding the Qassam Brigades' announcement.
