Hamas: Israel is delaying the implementation of the humanitarian aid protocol

The ceasefire agreement implemented in the Gaza Strip is being violated by Israel. In a statement, Hamas spokesperson Abdullatif al-Qanou noted that the group is committed to implementing the ceasefire agreement to realize the interests of the Palestinian people, while stating that Israel is still delaying the implementation of the humanitarian aid protocol regarding shelter, tents, debris removal equipment, fuel, and restoration needs. In his statement, al-Qanou said, "We have asked the mediators to redouble their efforts, pressure the occupation, and force it to implement the humanitarian aid protocol."

Emphasizing that he appreciates all countries that rejected US President Donald Trump's statements regarding the removal of Palestinians from Gaza, al-Qanou stated, "The Palestinian position against the displacement project of Trump and Netanyahu is unified. It is supported by the Arab, Islamic, and international stance."

"15 FUEL TRUCKS ENTERED INSTEAD OF 50"

Salameh Marouf, head of the Hamas government media office in Gaza, stated that Israel is not fulfilling its obligations under the agreement, reporting that only 15 fuel trucks have entered the Gaza Strip per day instead of 50. Stating that there is a need for approximately 200,000 tents and 60,000 mobile homes to house Gazans displaced by Israeli attacks and that the number entering the region remains highly insufficient, Marouf said that only 8,500 aid trucks have entered Gaza in the 3 weeks since the ceasefire went into effect.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), an Israeli military unit, had claimed that 12,600 trucks had entered the region since the agreement went into effect, while the United Nations (UN) announced earlier this week that this number was "over 10,000," corresponding to approximately 550 trucks per day.
