Hamas: Israel must understand that we are committed to the agreement

Hamas Political Bureau member Suhail al-Hindi responded to Israel, which has accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire. Al-Hindi stated that Hamas is facing "significant difficulties" in the process of recovering the bodies of Israeli hostages and reiterated the request for heavy equipment to assist in this process.

Al-Hindi stated, "Israel must understand that we are committed to the agreement and should stop accusing us of violating it," and reported that Hamas had requested to enter "red zones" to locate the bodies of the hostages, but that this request had been rejected.

Referring to the ceasefire that came into effect at the beginning of last October, Al-Hindi said, "Hamas has no intention of hiding any hostage's body or delaying their handover, and we confirm our full commitment to the agreement. We have made every possible effort to reach the bodies, and the full responsibility for any delay in recovering the remaining bodies lies with the occupiers," calling on mediator countries to intervene.

ISRAEL STRUCK GAZA DESPITE CEASEFIRE

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a security meeting he held, ordered immediate, powerful strikes on the Gaza Strip, where the ceasefire was ongoing. Following the order, the Israeli army carried out at least 3 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Palestinian media reported that Israel targeted the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital.
