A hand grenade was found at the Central Train Station in Frankfurt, Germany, where many metro and train lines intersect. Security forces suspended metro and train services due to the grenade and evacuated passengers from the station.
TEAMS NEUTRALIZED THE BOMB
Explosives experts from the Hesse State Criminal Police Office neutralized the hand grenade, which had its pin intact, on a wall on the B level of the metro and seized it for examination. After the danger at the station had passed, services returned to normal 3 hours later.
IMAGES OF THE SUSPECT SHARED
The police stated that there is no indication that the incident is linked to the conflicts between Israel and Palestine, and noted that fingerprints, DNA samples, and footage obtained from security cameras are being examined. The police also shared images of the masked suspect who placed the hand grenade in the station with the public.
