The "new earthquake" statements made by Dutchman Frank Hoogerbeets, who identifies himself as an "earthquake prophet," had been on the agenda last week.
Hoogerbeets, who continues his work with the research group he founded in the Netherlands called "SSGEOS," had claimed that a major earthquake would occur in Pakistan. The prophet was off by only 400 km. It did not happen in Pakistan, but its neighbor Afghanistan was shaken by an earthquake yesterday.
Hoogerbeets had claimed that the electrical density on the fault line in Pakistan was very high. It was not in Pakistan, but two earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.5 and 6.3 occurred in Afghanistan yesterday around 11:00, eight minutes apart.
It was stated that the quakes were 29 and 35 kilometers away from the center of the Zinda Jan district of Herat, respectively, and that the tremors occurred at depths of 11.4 and 10 kilometers below the surface.
It was reported that more than 2 thousand deaths occurred following the earthquake.
