Hezbollah may launch an attack on Israel: Kuwait calls on its citizens to leave the country as soon as possible

It has been claimed that Hezbollah in Lebanon may launch a preemptive strike against Israel.

The claim in question was included in a report by the Hebrew-language website "Walla," which cited unnamed security sources.

According to the report, security sources alleged that "Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is very afraid that Israel will launch an unexpected and major attack on southern Lebanon, and because of this fear, he is considering taking a preemptive step by launching an attack against Israel."

TENSION ON THE BLUE LINE

Israel, which has been continuing its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, is also clashing with Lebanon's Hezbollah on its northern border.

In a written statement issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, citizens currently in Lebanon were asked to leave the country as soon as possible, and those unable to leave were asked to contact the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon immediately. The statement also called on citizens not to travel to Lebanon in light of the conditions in the region and security developments.

Tensions have been escalating in recent weeks along the border line between Israel and Lebanon, known as the "Blue Line."

The Israeli army announced on June 18 that it had approved an "operational plan" for a possible attack on Lebanon.

Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz also stated in a statement on June 21 that Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli territory and citizens would not be permitted and that they would make the necessary decisions soon.
