High-level diplomatic meeting in Riga from DTİK and the Latvian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce
A special reception held in Riga ahead of the official opening of the Latvian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce (LVTCC) brought together the ambassadors of Turkey and Latvia, along with business representatives from both countries. The event was jointly organized by the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) and the LVTCC.
In line with its vision to strengthen commercial and diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Latvian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce hosted a high-level networking and solidarity dinner in Riga, the capital of Latvia, prior to its official opening.
The event, held at Fabrikas Restorans in Riga, saw significant interest from diplomatic mission representatives and prominent figures from the business world.
AMBASSADORS OF BOTH COUNTRIES AT THE SAME TABLE
During the evening, which was attended by Turkish and Latvian members of the Chamber of Commerce, the Republic of Turkey's Ambassador to Latvia, Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu, and the Republic of Latvia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ankara, Bahtijors Hasans, came together.

Özlem Hersan, Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Riga, also attended the event, where diplomatic contacts were represented at the highest level, to show her support.

AGENDA: NEW INVESTMENTS AND COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIP
Hakan Uzunosmanoğlu, President of the Latvian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce / DTİK Riga President and TAV Country Director, who hosted the invitation, delivered a speech at the opening of the organization. Uzunosmanoğlu expressed his gratitude to both ambassadors for their support of the bridge of friendship and trade between the two countries by coming together at the same table.

The main agenda items for the bilateral and inter-delegation meetings held throughout the event were as follows:
- How to strategically develop existing relations between the two countries,
- New partnerships and joint projects that can be implemented in the business world,
- Evaluation of mutual investment opportunities,
- Increasing opportunities for sectoral solidarity.
It was emphasized that the meeting took place in a highly productive atmosphere, and the encouraging remarks by Ambassador Hasans and Ambassador Miroğlu, which motivated the business community, were met with appreciation by the participating members.

The event was also attended by ATÜ Latvia Director and DTİK Latvia Board Member Tamer Ciğeroğlu, Turkish Airlines Riga Manager Fatih Cığal, Latvian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce Secretary General Can Bölükemini, International Hospitality Manager and Businessman Ömer Özcan, BTA F&B Country Manager Beata Kayhan and businessman Aziz Karahanlı also attended the event.
World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) Latvia Representative and businessman Fuat Aydemir thanked the ambassadors of both countries, emphasizing that their contributions are highly valuable.
The meeting was recorded as a strong signal ahead of the official opening and commercial activities that the Latvian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce will carry out in the coming period.
