Horrific assassination in Mexico: Two high-level officials killed!

An armed attack in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, has dealt a heavy blow to Mayor Clara Brugada's team. The mayor's private secretary, Ximena Guzman, and her advisor, Jose Munoz, lost their lives as a result of an attack while they were driving in traffic.

According to information received from authorities, the tragic incident occurred at the intersection of Calzada de Tlalpan and Napoleon streets. A motorcyclist opened fire on the vehicle in which Guzman and Munoz were traveling.

Emergency medical teams arrived at the scene upon notification, but despite all efforts, they could not save either official. Sadly, Guzman and Munoz died at the scene.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum spoke about the attack during her daily press conference at the National Palace, stating, "Unfortunately, Ximena Guzman and Jose Munoz lost their lives in an armed attack."

Sheinbaum announced that she had given direct instructions to the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar Garcia Harfuch, to apprehend the perpetrators of the attack as soon as possible, adding, "Those responsible for this incident will not go unpunished and will be held accountable before the law. The investigation will be conducted in detail, and the government's support is absolute."

President Sheinbaum also conveyed her condolences to Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada and the families of the deceased.

Mayor Clara Brugada also made an emotional statement, saying, "Ximena was a wonderful, tireless, and kind woman. I have known Pepe since my childhood; he was one of the most intelligent and responsible people I have ever known," expressing that the loss of her two colleagues had deeply shaken her.
