In their statement, Dutch police said, "About 150 homes are being evacuated in Ede. Residents are being taken care of. A hostage situation involving multiple people is ongoing in a building in the center. We understand there are many questions regarding the motive. At this time, there is no indication of a terrorist motive."
TRAIN SERVICES HALTED
The police, who called on the local public to stay away from the scene, also announced that train services in the region have been suspended.
