Hostage exchange postponed
Hamas has announced that the prisoner exchange with Israel, which was expected to take place on Saturday, has been postponed until further notice.
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that the hostage exchange scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until further notice.
Hamas cited Israel's ceasefire violations as the reason for the postponement of the prisoner exchange.
The statement from Hamas regarding the matter included the following:
"Over the past three weeks, we have observed Israel violating the terms of the agreement. These violations include delaying the return of displaced persons to the northern Gaza Strip, opening fire on Palestinians in various parts of the Strip, and failing to allow all types of aid supplies to enter the region as agreed upon. Yet, Hamas has fulfilled all of its obligations."
