Sirens sounded across Israel. According to a statement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis in Yemen broke apart in mid-air as it was descending.

The statement reported that air defense systems were activated and that shrapnel fell in various areas in central Israel. Officials stated that there were no reports of casualties or property damage yet, and that investigations into the attack are ongoing.

After one of the missile fragments fell into the garden of a house in the village of Ginaton, emergency teams were dispatched to the area, while flights at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv were canceled and the airspace was temporarily closed due to the attack.

ISRAEL STRUCK HEZBOLLAH AFTER THE ATTACK

Shortly after the attack, another statement from the IDF indicated that a Hezbollah weapons depot in the Deir Kifa region of southern Lebanon had been struck.

In a statement released by the Houthis, it was noted that a hypersonic ballistic missile named "Palestine-2" was used in the attack, adding, "Together with all the great people of Yemen, we appreciate and honor the heroism and sacrifices of our loyal resistance brothers in the Gaza Strip. The Gaza resistance fighters have set an inspiring example by risking everything to defend the honor and dignity of the nation, earning our respect and that of all free people by resisting occupation and expansion. Yemen, with its loyal people and fighters, will continue to support Gaza until the oppression against the Gaza Strip ends and the siege is lifted."
