The Houthis in Yemen have shared footage of a ship they attacked in the Red Sea.

The images released by the Houthis show the moment the Liberian-flagged Greek cargo ship Magic Seas, which was sailing 51 nautical miles off the coast of Yemen, came under attack.

In the video, which includes moments where Houthi members board the ship and pose in victory, the vessel is seen slowly sinking.

The Liberian-flagged Greek cargo ship named Magic Seas sank on Sunday after taking on water as a result of the attack. In statements from a UK-based maritime company and a security firm, it was noted, "The ship was attacked while sailing 51 nautical miles off the southwestern coast of Yemen.

It was first targeted by gunfire and rockets from eight small boats, and the security team on board returned fire.

Unmanned surface vessels were also used in the attack, and two of them struck the port side of the ship, causing a fire and damage to the cargo being carried," the statements said.
