HTS message to Turkey: 'You don't need to do anything': 'It does not take orders or instructions'
Following the failure of Turkey's attempts to establish a dialogue with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, it has been claimed that jihadist groups showed the details of their attacks to Turkey.
Terrorist organization The 'Assad' era in Syria has come to an end with the capture of Damascus by jihadist armed groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
A report by Reuters claimed that the terrorist organization HTS informed Turkey before its attacks.
In the article titled "How did the stars align for the rebels in Syria to topple Assad?", it was alleged that the terrorist organization HTS informed Turkey before its attacks.
"YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING"
A source close to the jihadists, speaking to Reuters, stated that HTS conveyed the following message to Turkey: "The other way hasn't worked for years, so try ours. You don't need to do anything, just don't intervene."
A diplomat from the region reported that the jihadists' attack plan belonged to HTS leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani.
"HTS DOES NOT TAKE ORDERS OR INSTRUCTIONS FROM US"
The report also noted that Turkey's ministries of foreign affairs and defense did not directly respond to questions regarding a "HTS-Ankara consensus on the Aleppo operation."
An unnamed Turkish official, in response to a question about "how much Turkey was aware of the preparations on the ground," stated, "HTS does not take orders or instructions from us, nor does it coordinate its operations with us."
The official added that "it would not be accurate to say that the Aleppo operation was carried out with Turkey's approval or green light."
