Humanitarian aid turns deadly in Gaza
At least 5 Palestinians were killed and 11 others were injured in the Gaza Strip after a parachute failed to open during an airdrop of humanitarian aid, causing a package to fall on civilians in an area where Israel has restricted the entry of aid trucks.
Israel has been continuing its bombardment of the Gaza Strip without interruption for 154 days. While the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues at dangerous levels, the use of airdrops by countries such as Jordan, France, and the US to deliver humanitarian aid to the region is setting an example for other countries.
An accident occurred today during an airdrop in the Al-Shati Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
At least 5 Palestinians lost their lives when a aid package, whose parachute failed to open, fell on civilians. The 11 injured Palestinians were taken to Al-Shifa and Kamal Adwan hospitals for treatment.
