India accuses Pakistan of ceasefire violation

According to a report by Asian News International (ANI), Misri made a statement regarding the agreement reached between India and Pakistan to cease military actions, which has been ongoing for the past few days.

Arguing that the agreement was violated by Pakistan, Misri stated that the Indian army had "retaliated" to this.

PAKISTAN DENIES CEASEFIRE VIOLATION ALLEGATIONS

Pakistan's Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar, in a statement to Geo News, stated that the allegations that his country had violated the ceasefire agreement reached with India did not reflect the truth.

Stating that "there is no question of a violation of the ceasefire agreement on our part," Tarar said that the people of Pakistan were celebrating the "victory they achieved against India."

US President Donald Trump had announced in a statement on his Truth Social account that overnight talks had been held between India and Pakistan with US mediation.

Trump had declared that following the talks mediated by his country, India and Pakistan had agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire.

INDIA'S ATTACK ON PAKISTAN

On May 6, India launched missile strikes on Pakistani territory and the Pakistan-controlled Azad Kashmir region, citing retaliation for a terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region on April 22 that killed 26 people.

While the Indian army announced that it had hit 9 targets it described as "terrorist infrastructure," the Islamabad administration announced that 6 civilian locations were targeted in the attacks, 33 people lost their lives, and 62 people were injured.

While the Pakistani army stated that it had shot down 5 fighter jets during the Indian side's attack, the New Delhi administration did not confirm this.
