Indian Prime Minister goes scuba diving: Prays underwater
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi went scuba diving to pray at a submerged ancient temple.
Narendra Modi went scuba diving off the coast of Dwarka, a sacred region located on the shores of the Arabian Sea in India’s Gujarat state, to offer prayers. The 73-year-old Indian Prime Minister shared the moments of his dive on his X account.
Modi shared his 'spiritual' underwater journey, noting, “Dwarka Darshan under the waters... where the spiritual and the historical converge, where every moment was a divine melody echoing Bhagwan Shri Krishna's eternal presence.”
Modi prayed and meditated underwater in the ancient city where he went scuba diving.
The ancient city of Dwarka is one of the most important regions reflecting India’s historical, political, cultural, and religious heritage. In the region, which is also considered sacred in Hinduism, 'pilgrimage-like' activities are carried out by believers, just as Modi did. It is believed that an ancient Hindu temple exists in the submerged part of Dwarka. In the sacred underwater region, which is also an archaeological excavation site, scuba diving activities are organized for those who wish to pray at the temple and for archaeology enthusiasts.
