Iran's 12-point plan for the Strait of Hormuz: No passage for Israeli ships

Iranian Deputy Parliament Speaker Ali Nikzad made statements regarding the Strait of Hormuz during his visit to the city of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province.

Nikzad stated that a 12-point plan regarding the management of the strait is being prepared, noting, "According to this plan, ships belonging to the Zionist regime will never be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Ships belonging to hostile countries will also not be granted passage unless they cover war damages. Other ships will be able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with the law to be passed in Parliament and by obtaining permission from Iran," he said.

New regulation to be prepared according to international law

Emphasizing that the new regulation will be prepared while observing international law and the rights of neighboring countries, Nikzad stated, "We will not give up our rights in the Strait of Hormuz, and ship traffic in the strait will not be as it was before the war. Iran's new management over the Strait of Hormuz is as important as the nationalization of the oil industry."

Speaking during the same visit, Mohammad Reza Rezaei, Chairman of the Parliament's Civil Development Committee, drew attention to the strategic importance of the management of the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "Within the scope of the plan regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz, all ships wishing to pass must use the name Persian Gulf when requesting permission to pass through the strait.

According to this plan, within the scope of the regulation that will soon become law, 30 percent of the fees collected from ships will be used to strengthen military infrastructure, and 70 percent will be used for economic development and the livelihood of the people.
