Iran alarm in the US Senate: All senators to receive classified briefing

Senator Chuck Schumer announced at a press conference in Washington on Wednesday that he has requested that members of Congress be briefed directly in the face of rising military and diplomatic tensions regarding Iran.

Schumer stated, "There are serious and multifaceted developments taking place regarding Iran. All senators need to be informed in a comprehensive manner that respects security sensitivities."

According to information provided to the press by Schumer's aide, the briefing in question will be open only to senators and will be held in secret due to national security concerns.

ISRAEL-IRAN TENSION MOVES TO CONGRESS

The US administration has recently raised its military and diplomatic alert level against Iran due to its nuclear activities, support for proxy groups in the region, and threats against US bases. This situation has also resonated in Congress, with the vast majority of Democratic and Republican senators demanding stricter oversight of developments concerning Iran.

CONTENT OF THE CLASSIFIED BRIEFING IS A SUBJECT OF CURIOSITY

At the classified session, senior officials from the Pentagon, the State Department, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) are expected to brief the senators. The agenda is expected to focus in detail on Iran's uranium enrichment activities, recent clashes between Israel and Iran, threats against US bases, and Tehran's diplomatic position.
