Iran issues warning on 'location-based applications'

The Iranian government has issued a cybersecurity warning to its citizens, stating that Israel has been using mobile phone tracking in assassination attacks targeting Iranian scientists and high-ranking commanders.

In a statement made on state television IRIB, it was emphasized that location-based applications could be dangerous under wartime conditions. Officials stated that employees in sensitive organizations, in particular, should use secure communication lines.

The Iranian Cyber Security Command announced that Israel has launched a large-scale cyberattack on Iran's digital infrastructure and aims to disrupt online services.

The Command stated that most of the attacks were successfully repelled thanks to the measures taken. These measures aim to prevent Israel from penetrating cyber layers and utilizing the infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Bank Sepah, one of Iran's major banks, became the target of cyberattacks. A hacking group linked to Israel claimed responsibility for the attack, alleging that they had destroyed all of the bank's data. The Iranian government is calling on its citizens to be vigilant against such attacks.
