Iran makes controversial claim about Ukraine: They are providing support in Syria
Claiming that Ukraine is providing support to armed jihadist groups in Syria, Iran has demanded that the Kyiv administration immediately cease this support.
In a written statement from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was alleged that Ukrainian officials are engaged in illegal arms trafficking from the US and that the country is providing support to jihadist armed groups in Syria.
The statement argued that "these actions are a clear violation of governments' international obligations regarding the prevention of and fight against terrorism, and that the use of such groups to destabilize the West Asia region is an immoral policy," and demanded that the Kyiv administration immediately stop this support.
