Iran's Permanent Mission to the UN: It will respond in a way never seen before
In a statement from Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) in New York, it was stated, "Iran is ready for dialogue based on mutual respect and interests, but if it is cornered, it will defend itself and will respond in a way never seen before."
As the US increases its military buildup in the Middle East, another reaction has come from Iran regarding US President Donald Trump's latest statement on the rising tensions between the parties.
In the statement made by Iran's Permanent Mission to the UN, the phrases "Iran is ready for dialogue based on mutual respect and interests, but if it is cornered, it will defend itself and will respond in a way never seen before" were used.
The statement, which was published via social media, also said, "When the US last entered wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, it wasted more than 7 trillion dollars in resources and more than 7 thousand Americans lost their lives."
Trump: "Time is running out"
In his statement, which drew reactions from other countries as well as Iran, Trump said, "It is moving very quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and determination.
A fleet larger than the one sent to Venezuela is advancing, led by the large aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. Just like what was done to Venezuela, this fleet is ready, willing, and capable of carrying out its mission quickly and, if necessary, by using force.
I hope Iran comes to the table quickly and makes a fair and balanced deal. No nuclear weapons. A deal that is good for all parties. Time is running out. As I told Iran before, make a deal. They didn't, and 'Operation Midnight Hammer' happened. There was great destruction directed at Iran. The next attack will be much worse. Do not let this happen again."
