Iran responds to claims of enriched uranium transfer
Ali Bagheri, Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, announced that there is no plan to transfer enriched uranium to another country and that negotiations are not being conducted around this issue.
A response has come to the claims that enriched uranium would be transferred from Iran to another country. Ali Bagheri, Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated in his announcement that the Tehran administration has no plan to transfer enriched uranium to any country and that negotiations are not being shaped around this issue.
Uranium proposal from Russia
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, in his statement, reiterated that Russia is ready to contribute to reducing tensions regarding Iran. Peskov stated that in this context, Russia's previously proposed offer to take the enriched uranium in Iran and convert it into fuel for civilian nuclear reactors is still valid. Expressing that the proposal in question is considered one of the possible options aimed at reducing nuclear tension, Peskov noted that Russia is continuing its diplomatic efforts.
Claims of transfer to Turkey
On the other hand, reports in some foreign media sources had brought up claims that the enriched uranium in Iran could be transferred to Turkey to reduce tension. In the reports in question, it was suggested that Turkey could assume a mediating role in the contacts between Washington and Tehran and that the temporary storage of the uranium in Turkey was among the possible options.
