Iran responds to Trump's threats

According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Saeid Iravani, stated in a letter to the UN Security Council that they categorically reject and condemn the "reckless and provocative" statements made by US officials, particularly Trump, against Tehran.

Regarding Trump's threats, the letter stated, "Any act of aggression will have dire consequences, and the full responsibility for this will lie with the US," and emphasized that "the accusations that Tehran supplies weapons to the Houthis in Yemen are untrue, and that the Yemenis act independently in their decision-making and actions."

In the letter, the attacks by the US and the UK against Yemen were described as a clear violation of that country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and a threat to peace and stability, while a call was made for the Security Council to take the necessary steps against the US's attacks and threats.

US President Donald Trump, who launched heavy attacks on the Houthis in Yemen—who have been targeting ships carrying goods to Israel in the Red Sea in response to Israel's genocide and siege in Gaza—had stated that the Houthi attacks originated from Iran and that the Tehran administration would have to face the "dire consequences" of this.
