Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated along the Strait of Hormuz. Following the US military's attack on Iran's Lark Island, the Iranian military announced that it had targeted US soldiers and helicopters stationed at the Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.

In a written statement, the Iranian military stated that the attack was carried out "in revenge for the civilians and soldiers who lost their lives in the US attack on Lark Island." The statement noted that the targeted base housed US soldiers and helicopters.

It was reported that the US carried out two attacks on Lark Island near the Strait of Hormuz during the night. Iranian sources reported that explosion sounds were heard around Lark Island. The Tasnim News Agency, citing unofficial sources, reported that 2 people lost their lives and 2 others were injured in the attack.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced that it had struck the Muwaffaq Salti and King Hussein air bases in Jordan, which are used by US forces, with ballistic missiles in response to the US attack.

Iranian state television reported that missiles were launched from different parts of the country toward targets in the region. It was also stated that explosion sounds were heard around Bandar Abbas and Sirik near the Strait of Hormuz.
