Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, made a statement on his social media account regarding the tension with the US. Rezaee stated that the Washington administration has accepted some of the conditions Iran presented to end the war, but that they do not find the response sufficient.
In his statement, Rezaee reacted to US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Emphasizing that Trump is being directed by Netanyahu, Rezaee said this has led to the start of one of the most "foolish" wars in human history.
Using harsh language regarding the US Navy, Rezaee said, "Now, after the US Navy failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, it has resorted to smuggling. The US military has never been in such an embarrassing situation."
Emphasizing that there has been a change in Iran's diplomatic stance, Rezaee stated, "The US has accepted some of Iran's 7 conditions, but we find this response insufficient. Iranian diplomacy has changed, and there will be no return to the old situation."
This statement from the Tehran administration showed that the tension between the US and Iran continues through diplomatic contacts and mutual conditions. Rezaee did not share details regarding which conditions were accepted.
