Tensions have risen once again in the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it struck the US-owned, Panama-flagged container ship MSC Sariska V with a cruise missile.
No statement has been made yet regarding the extent of the damage to the ship or the health status of the crew.
Previously, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) had reported that a ship was struck approximately 40 nautical miles southeast of Umm Qasr, a port city in southern Iraq.
