Harsh statements have come from Iran regarding US President Donald Trump's contacts in the Chinese capital, Beijing.
Major General Mohsen Rezaei, military advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stated, "The US President did not leave Beijing from a position of strength, but under the heavy shadow of the failure he experienced in the war he is waging against Iran."
In his statement, Rezaei criticized the Washington administration's diplomatic initiatives and argued that the new world order is no longer centered on the US.
Rezaei said, "The fact that the US needs China's influence to contain the crisis it created itself shows that the new world order is now shaped by rules that are not US-centric."
