Iranian Army Spokesperson Abolfazl Shekarchi warned that if US and Israeli airstrikes against Iran resume, there will be a "more severe" and "more powerful" retaliation.
In a statement to the Iranian press, Shekarchi said, "If the region enters a new war, Iran's response will go beyond regional borders and will be much more powerful."
Meanwhile, the US military carried out attacks last night in the cities of Bandar Abbas, Jask, and Sirik in Iran's Hormozgan province.
CENTCOM Spokesperson Tim Hawkins had stated, "US forces conducted self-defense strikes today against targets in southern Iran to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces."
