Iranian attacks on Israeli military facilities revealed by satellite imagery

New information regarding the recent conflicts between Israel and Iran has been brought to light through satellite analyses featured in the British press. It has been determined that missiles launched by Iran during the 12-day period of attacks and counter-attacks directly targeted five key military facilities located in the north, south, and center of Israel.

The bases in question included a major airbase, an intelligence center, and a logistics area.

The Israeli administration has not issued an official statement regarding the attacks, and the disclosure of details to the public had previously been blocked due to military censorship laws. While media outlets in the country were unable to share such information for security reasons, the recent sharing of satellite radar imagery by U.S. academics has brought the issue to the international agenda.

Analyses conducted by researchers from Oregon State University determined that six previously undisclosed missiles exploded directly at five separate military locations. It was stated that these attacks bypassed Israel's air defense systems and were accompanied by incidents that caused damage to residences and infrastructure at a total of 36 locations across various parts of the country.

Experts emphasized that although a significant portion of the missiles sent by Iran were intercepted by Israel's defense systems, a marked increase in the success of the attacks was recorded during the first eight days of the conflict. It was noted that, particularly after the seventh day, approximately 16 percent of the missiles launched from Iran managed to penetrate air defense layers and reach their targets.

According to expert assessments, the factors behind the increase in the hit rate of the attacks have yet to be determined.
