Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi: It is long past time to remove US forces from the region

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made assessments regarding the US presence in the region in a statement on his social media account and sent a message to Saudi Arabia.

Araghchi stated, "Iran respects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and views it as a brotherly country. Our operations are directed at aggressive enemies who respect neither Arabs nor Iranians and cannot provide security in the region."

In his post, Araghchi also shared a photograph of an E-3 Sentry early warning (AWACS) aircraft, which was allegedly damaged in a missile and drone (UAV) attack carried out by Iran on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, adding, "It is enough to look at what we did to their air force. It is long past time to remove US forces from the region."

US strategic aircraft were damaged

In a report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) citing US and Arab officials, it was stated that some US strategic aircraft were damaged in a missile and drone (UAV) attack carried out by Iran on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia last Friday.
