Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi: Washington’s ‘new’ solution is more sanctions
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi commented on the latest sanctions decision announced by the US against Iran, stating, "Washington, having failed to achieve its goals through sanctions or war, has a 'new' solution: more sanctions."
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a statement following the US sanctions targeting Iranian airlines.
Araghchi said, "After 47 years of sanctions, the US has entered into a war with Iran on behalf of Israel.
The consequences of this have been disastrous for the country, including for the US's reputation worldwide.
Washington, having failed to achieve its goals through sanctions or war, has a 'new' solution: more sanctions. Seriously?"
The US Department of the Treasury had added 36 entities, including 27 Iranian-owned airline companies, to its sanctions list on the grounds that they support Iran's aviation sector.
