Iranian official Rezai criticizes Trump: He can neither negotiate nor fight

Mohsen Rezaee, Secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran, claimed in his statements regarding US President Donald Trump that Washington has reached a dead end in the face of Iran.

According to reports in the Iranian press, Rezaee stated during his meeting in Tehran with Shahin Mustafayev, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, that the attacks by the US and Israel against Iran are in violation of international law. Rezaee noted that Iran is defending itself with "great power."

Arguing that Trump has no room to maneuver regarding both diplomacy and military options, Rezaee said, "Trump is stuck in a quagmire. Trump can neither negotiate nor fight."

Reminding that Iran has presented certain conditions to the US, Rezaee suggested that Trump lacks the capacity to make decisions. Rezaee also added, "The US has resorted to an air blockade due to its desperation on the battlefield."

Stating that foreign powers have come and gone in the region many times throughout history, Rezaee noted that Iran continues to maintain its presence in the region. Arguing that there is no future for the US in the region, Rezaee expressed that Iran stands firm against Washington.
