Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi: 'What is happening in Gaza is a source of shame for the US and the West'
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi met with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. During the meeting, Raisi stated that the Palestinian issue has transcended the Islamic world and become a concern for people all over the world.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that what is happening in Gaza is a source of shame for the US and certain Western countries.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Raisi received Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, who is in Tehran for official contacts.
During the meeting, Raisi stated that with the resistance shown by the people of Gaza, the Palestinian issue has transcended the Islamic world and become a concern for people all over the world.
Stating that "what is happening in Gaza is a source of shame for the US and certain Western countries," Raisi expressed that the root cause of security problems in the region is Israel.
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Haniyeh also provided Raisi with information about the developments in Gaza during the meeting.
Haniyeh said that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation has brought unprecedented achievements to the Palestinian people.
