Iranian press: Araghchi to visit Islamabad again

The Iranian press reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Islamabad again following his meetings in Muscat, the capital of Oman, and that part of his delegation has returned to Tehran for consultations.

Iranian press: Araghchi to visit Islamabad again

The Iranian press reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, once again before his trip to Russia, following his meetings in Muscat, the capital of Oman.

Reports citing diplomatic sources stated that during his meetings with high-level Pakistani officials, Araghchi conveyed Iran's views and assessments regarding a potential framework for a complete end to the war.

Furthermore, it was noted that a portion of the delegation accompanying Araghchi during his Islamabad meetings returned to Tehran to hold consultations and receive necessary instructions regarding the topics related to ending the war, and that these delegation members are expected to rejoin Araghchi in Islamabad on Sunday night.

Araghchi had described his meetings in Pakistan as "productive"

Araghchi had previously evaluated his visit to Pakistan. In a written statement, Minister Araghchi said, "Our visit to Pakistan, which we value highly for its good intentions and brotherly efforts toward restoring peace to our region, was very productive. We shared Iran's position on a viable framework that would permanently end the war against Iran."

Araghchi's meetings

Araghchi had arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, yesterday as part of his official visits abroad. As part of his meetings in Islamabad, he held talks today with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir. According to a previous statement by Araghchi, the Iranian minister was expected to visit Moscow, the capital of Russia, after completing his meetings in Muscat.
