Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps: Prisoner of war camps have even been prepared for potential aggressors

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on the anniversary of "Operation Eagle Claw," the failed US hostage rescue mission carried out in Tabas, Iran, on April 25, 1980.

In the IRGC statement, the recent US attempts to attack the south of Isfahan province were described as "a repetition of the humiliation of the White House and the inevitable defeat of global imperialism in the face of the Iranian nation."

The statement added, "This situation shows that the US has still not learned from the historic and shameful defeat it suffered. The aggressive and hegemonic character of the US continues to generate hostility against the Islamic Revolution and Iran in new areas as well."

"Even prisoner of war camps have been prepared"

Stating that all military and intelligence elements are on full alert against potential ground and air attacks, the statement said, "The intelligence power and level of readiness possessed by the Iranian Armed Forces demonstrate that they are capable of countering all potential enemy activities, including ground operations. In this context, prisoner of war camps have even been prepared for potential aggressors."

"The only option is unconditional withdrawal from the region"

In the statement, which included harsh warnings directed at the US, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also strongly criticized. The declaration stated, "The Americans must accept the truth and should no longer allow themselves to be turned into a toy in the hands of the criminal and child-killing Zionist Prime Minister Netanyahu. Furthermore, they should look at their bases in the region that sustained heavy damage as a result of the Iranian armed forces' attacks, because it no longer seems possible for these facilities to be made operational again. The only option before them is to gather their remaining personnel and equipment and withdraw from the region quickly and unconditionally."

"A new world order is taking shape"

The statement, which also touched upon global developments, argued that Iran's recent military and political stance has influenced the balance of power, stating: "The world is preparing for a new era that moves beyond a unipolar order. This new order will be shaped on the basis of resistance, independence, and justice."

Emphasis on Strait of Hormuz strategy

The statement also drew attention to the management and control of the Strait of Hormuz, noting: "Ensuring control of the Strait of Hormuz and maintaining its deterrent effect on the US and the White House's allies in the region is Iran's fundamental strategy in the ongoing war process against global powers. Within the scope of this strategy, while playing an active role on the ground, the goal is to facilitate the passage of commercial vessels from all countries, excluding US-Israeli linked elements and their affiliates."

"Every attack will be met with a heavier response"

The statement expressed that despite US President Donald Trump's rhetoric of "division," unity and harmony within the country's leadership have strengthened, adding: "Every new attack against these lands will result in a response beyond what the enemies expect and at a level of strategic deterrence. Any attempt at an attack will be met with heavier, more deterrent, and more devastating blows."
