Iran's 'reproachful' call to Islamic countries: Which side are you on?

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, has published a 6-point letter addressed to Muslims and the governments of Islamic countries.

In his letter, Larijani criticized the attacks by the US and Israel against Iran and called for unity and solidarity among Islamic countries.

Larijani stated, "Iran faced a deceptive attack carried out by the US and the Zionist regime while negotiations were ongoing. The purpose of this attack was to dismantle Iran. Along with the great and self-sacrificing leader of the Islamic Revolution, some civilians and military commanders were martyred. However, this attack was met with the national and Islamic resistance of the Iranian people."

"No Islamic state helped the Iranian people"

Arguing that the majority of Islamic countries did not support Iran, Larijani said, "As you know, apart from a few rare political statements, no Islamic state has helped the Iranian people. However, the Iranian people, with their strong will, suppressed the malicious enemy, and today the enemy is in a position where it does not know how to escape the strategic impasse it has fallen into."

"What kind of Islam is this?"

Criticizing the stance of Islamic countries, Larijani said, "Iran continues its path of resistance against the great and small Satan (the US and Israel). But does the behavior of Islamic states not contradict the words of our Prophet: 'Whoever hears someone calling for help saying 'O Muslims' and does not respond to him is not a Muslim'? What kind of Islam is this?"

"Which side are you on?"

Addressing the criticisms directed at Iran by some countries, Larijani said, "Some countries have gone even further, claiming that Iran is their enemy because it targets US bases on their soil and the interests of the US and Israel. Should Iran wait with its hands tied against attacks launched on Iran from US bases located in your countries? This is merely creating an excuse. In today's struggle, the US and Israel are on one side, and Muslim Iran and the resistance forces are on the other. Which side are you on?"

"You know the US will not be loyal to you"

Calling for unity in the Islamic world, Larijani said, "Think about the future of the Islamic world. You know that the US will not be loyal to you and that Israel is your enemy. Stop for a moment and think about both yourselves and the future of the region. Iran wishes you well and has no intention of dominating you. A strong unity of the Islamic Ummah can provide and guarantee security, progress, and independence for all countries."
