Ibrahim Zulfikari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), announced that the US violated the ceasefire by targeting Iranian ships and certain civilian areas.
In his statement, Zulfikari said, "The aggressor, the US military, violated the ceasefire and targeted an Iranian oil tanker moving from the Jask region towards the Strait of Hormuz in Iranian coastal waters, as well as another ship entering the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of the UAE's Port of Fujairah.
At the same time, with the cooperation of some regional countries, civilian areas in Bandar Khamir, the coasts of Sirik, and Qeshm Island were also subjected to airstrikes."
Stating that the Iranian Armed Forces responded immediately, Zulfikari said, "Attacks were carried out against US military assets east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the Port of Chabahar, causing serious damage.
The guilty and aggressive US, along with the countries supporting it, should know well that today, just as in the past, Iran will respond to any attack or violation with a strong and devastating response without hesitation."
