Iraq: We welcome the PKK's decision to dissolve

The statement said, "The Republic of Iraq welcomes the PKK's decision to dissolve itself, cease armed conflict, and lay down its arms.

This decision is a positive and important step that will contribute to strengthening security and stability in Iraq and the region."

The Ministry stated, "This decision offers a real opportunity to advance efforts for lasting peace and to end the long-standing conflicts that have affected the peoples of the region for decades."

Reiterating that they support all efforts that will consolidate peace and stability, the Ministry emphasized that resolving security threats through dialogue and understanding will meet the security and development expectations of the region's peoples.
