Irish Embassy Shares 'Peace at Home, Peace in the World' Message
In a social media post, the Irish Embassy shared its well wishes ahead of the new year, expressing the hope for 'Peace at Home, Peace in the World.'
While Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray wanted to take the field for the Super Cup final to be played in Riyadh with Atatürk banners featuring the slogan "Peace at Home, Peace in the World," Saudi authorities did not permit this.
Following the decision, while there was significant support on social media for Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, who did not play the match and left Saudi Arabia, the post made by the Irish Embassy was interpreted as a reference to the situation in question.
EMPHASIS ON 'PEACE AT HOME, PEACE IN THE WORLD'
The New Year's greeting message posted from the embassy's account stated, "We hope that 2024 brings health, peace, and happiness to everyone, especially to Ireland and Turkey, with our wish for peace at home and peace in the world."
