ISIS claims responsibility for massacre in Iran

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the double bomb attack carried out yesterday at a ceremony in Iran's Kerman province, marking the fourth anniversary of the killing of Revolutionary Guards Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani by the US.

95 people lost their lives and 211 were injured in the attack. The Iranian government declared the incident a "terrorist attack" and announced a one-day period of national mourning.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi postponed his planned visit to Turkey today due to the attack.

SUICIDE BOMB ATTACK

According to a report by the official Iranian news agency IRNA, investigations conducted at the scene of the attacks that took place yesterday near the grave of Qasem Soleimani in the city of Kerman, Iran, have confirmed that the first explosion was definitively the result of a suicide bomber attack.
