Israel approves hostage exchange

The Israeli government has approved the long-awaited hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas.

The hostages will be released in stages.

The agreement under discussion also includes the Red Cross gaining access to the hostages remaining in Hamas's hands to provide necessary medical support."

CLAIMS THAT THE RELEASE OF CAPTIVES WILL BEGIN ON THURSDAY

The Israeli press has claimed that the release of some of the captives held by Hamas will begin on Thursday.

News has begun to leak to the local press from the cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas.

In reports appearing in the Hebrew press, it was alleged that ministers were informed that the release of some of the captives held by Hamas would begin on Thursday.

On the other hand, Israel's Channel 12 television also reported that the Prime Minister's Office has planned a 5-stage process for bringing the released captives back to their country.

According to these stages, in the first phase, Hamas will hand over the captives to International Committee of the Red Cross officials, who will then transfer them to the Israeli military.

The captives will then undergo an initial medical check by officials and will subsequently be taken to one of 5 isolated medical centers across Israel to meet with their families.

Finally, the captives will undergo a "debriefing" session with security officials.
