Israel attacks Iran's Arak Nuclear Facility

Tasnim News Agency published a written statement issued by the Information Center of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.

The statement, which indicated that Israel carried out an attack on the Arak Heavy Water Nuclear Facility (Shahid Handab Research Reactor) in the morning hours, stated, "There were no casualties or injuries in the attack. Thanks to previously taken security measures, there is no risk or harm to the public living in the area surrounding the facility."

According to Iranian state television, it was also noted that there was no nuclear leak at the facility.

Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, had stated a few days ago that following Israel's attack on the Fordo Nuclear Facility in the city of Qom, minor damage occurred at the facility but no nuclear contamination took place, and that after the attack on the Natanz Nuclear Facility in the city of Isfahan, nuclear contamination occurred within the facility but did not spread outside of it.

ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON IRAN

On June 13, Israel carried out large-scale attacks targeting Iran's military high command, primarily focusing on nuclear facilities in various Iranian cities.

While the Chief of General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, several high-ranking commanders, and 9 nuclear scientists died in the attacks in Iran, the total civilian death toll was announced as 224.

It was reported that 24 people died and more than 500 people were injured in the Iranian military's retaliatory strike against Israel with ballistic missiles.

Numerous countries, led by Turkey, condemned Israel.
