Israel claims high-ranking Hezbollah military commander killed
In a statement regarding the strike on Beirut, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that Ibrahim Aqil, one of Hezbollah's high-ranking military commanders, was killed.
Israel has once again extended its bloody attacks in the Gaza Strip to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. In a statement regarding the strike, the Israel Defense Forces claimed that Ibrahim Aqil, one of Hezbollah's high-ranking military commanders, was killed.
The statement said, “Aqil and the other commanders were among the architects of Hezbollah's ‘Plan to Conquer the Galilee,’ which aimed to raid Israeli territory and occupy communities in the Galilee.”
IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated, “In addition to Aqil, at least 10 other Hezbollah commanders were killed in the airstrike in Beirut.”
MUTUAL ATTACKS INTENSIFY
Following the approval of a war plan regarding the Lebanese border in Israel yesterday, warplanes took off toward Lebanon, and it was announced that 30 Hezbollah missile platforms, infrastructure targets, 150 missile launchers prepared for a sudden attack on Israel, several buildings, and an arms depot were struck.
Hezbollah fired 150 rockets into northern Israel today. The Lebanese Ministry of Health also reported that the death toll from Israel's strike on southern Beirut had risen to 8, with 59 people injured, 8 of them critically.
The United States had placed a 7 million dollar bounty on Aqil, alleging his involvement in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.
