Israel Defense Forces: '150 ballistic missiles fired at Tel Aviv, 15 injured'

Following Israel's attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, Iran has launched a retaliatory strike on the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv, using ballistic missiles.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated in a press release that Iran used 150 ballistic missiles in two waves of fire during the attack.

In its statement, the IDF reported that the missiles struck 9 different locations in Tel Aviv and that 15 people were injured.

"IRAN WILL PAY A HEAVY PRICE"

During Iran's retaliatory strikes on Israel, an unnamed Israeli official made threats of escalation against Iran in comments to the Israeli television channel Channel 12.

The official stated, "Because Iran has targeted civilian areas, it will pay an intolerably heavy price. We know where Israel hit in today's attacks. We also know where it did not hit. Now it is the turn of those places."

US PROVIDED ASSISTANCE

According to a statement made by an Israeli official to the US news outlet Axios, the US assisted Israel in intercepting Iran's ballistic missiles. Two US officials confirmed the US assistance in intercepting the missiles in statements to the British news agency Reuters.
