Israel issues 'do not go to southern Lebanon' warning: Intensity of war increases
Israel, which has launched a military operation against Lebanon, has announced that Lebanese people should not travel to the south of the country by vehicle. Following Israel's statement, a wave of migration toward the north of the country has begun in Lebanon.
Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued a written statement on the X social media platform, calling it an 'urgent warning to the residents of southern Lebanon.' The Israeli army warned Lebanese people 'not to travel by vehicle from the north of the Litani River to the south.'
Claiming that there is 'intense fighting' in the southern regions of the country and that Hezbollah members are mingling with civilians, Adraee warned Lebanese people not to travel by vehicle from the north of the Litani River to the south for their own safety.
The Israeli army spokesperson indicated that this warning remains in effect until further notice.
Meanwhile, a report by the official Lebanese news agency NNA stated that transportation was cut off after Israel bombed the road between Marjayoun and Hasbaya in the south during the night.
The report stated that a new wave of migration from the south of the country to the north has begun following Israel's aforementioned threat.
