Israel lifts visa requirements for Kosovo citizens

According to a statement from the Kosovo Presidency, President Vjosa Osmani received Israel's Ambassador to Pristina, Tammy Ziv.

During the meeting, where agreements expected to be signed between the two countries in the near future were discussed, Ambassador Ziv informed President Osmani that the Israeli government has agreed to sign a visa exemption agreement for Kosovo citizens.

The relevant ministries will proceed with the procedures for signing the agreement, which will enable Kosovo citizens to travel to Israel for tourism purposes without a visa.

An agreement to officially establish diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Israel was signed in 2021.

Kosovo also recently signed a visa exemption agreement with the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, Kosovo citizens have been able to travel to the Schengen Area visa-free since January 1.
