Israel sends message to continue the war

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has traveled to the U.S. to hold talks regarding requests for numerous military supplies, including fighter jets, weapons systems, and ammunition, from the Washington administration. Before the meetings, Gallant evaluated the process concerning Gaza.

Stating that in his first meeting with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan he would emphasize the importance of destroying Hamas and returning the hostages to their homes, Gallant said, "We will operate against Hamas everywhere, including in places where we have not yet been. We will identify an alternative to Hamas (in Gaza) so that the Israel Defense Forces can complete their mission."

Stating that they have no right to stop the war while Israeli hostages are in Gaza, he used the expression, "Failure to achieve a decisive victory in Gaza could lead us to a new conflict in the north."

Gallant is expected to meet with his U.S. counterpart Lloyd Austin tomorrow.
