Israel: Senior Hamas official Kassab killed
The Israel Defense Forces claimed that senior Hamas official Izz al-Din Kassab was killed in strikes carried out today in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a statement made by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was claimed that senior Hamas official Izz al-Din Kassab was killed in the strikes carried out in the southern city.
The statement said, “Kassab was a significant source of power and, by virtue of his role, was responsible for Hamas’s strategic and military relations with other groups in the Gaza Strip. He had the authority to direct the execution of terrorist attacks against the State of Israel.”
The IDF also claimed that Kassab’s deputy, Ayman Ayesh, was killed in the same strike.
