Israel strikes building housing journalists in Lebanon
The Israeli army attacked a building in Lebanon where journalists were staying. Three journalists lost their lives in the attack, and three others were injured.
The Israeli army has been conducting air and ground operations in Lebanon since September 23. While many people have lost their lives in the attacks so far, journalists are also being targeted.
The Israeli army carried out an airstrike on a building housing journalists in the town of Hasbaya, located in the Nabatieh Governorate in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced that 3 journalists lost their lives in the attack, and 3 others were injured.
According to the Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen television, an Israeli warplane directly targeted the building where press teams were located with two missiles. The attack caused significant damage to the building and the press vehicles in the vicinity.
The journalists who lost their lives were identified as Al-Mayadeen television cameraman Ghassan Najjar and broadcast engineer Mohammed Reda, as well as Al-Manar television cameraman Wissam Qassim, which is affiliated with Hezbollah.
Previously in Lebanon, Reuters reporter Issam Abdallah on October 13, 2023, Al-Mayadeen reporter Farah Omar and cameraman Rabie Al-Maamari on October 21, 2023, Al-Mayadeen reporter Hadi Al-Sayed on September 24, 2024, and Al-Manar television cameraman Kamel Karaki on September 25, 2024, had lost their lives in Israeli attacks.
